HEALTHY CHURCHES THRIVE!
A SPIRITUAL PILGRIMAGE FOR YOUR
CHURCH

For those church leaders who “get it”: transformational change is a spiritual process.
God uses Healthy Churches Thrive! to bring a missional “awakening” to the local church. According to those who study revivals throughout history, an “awakening” occurs in the church before revival takes place in the world, as healthy churches reach out.

Transformational change is described in Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by a complete renewal of your mind.” This occurs in a process some call the “learning circle.” It requires a “kairos” moment (God intervenes through an outside force—in this case, a consultant, leadership coach, analyst, intercessor, all of whom make up your Healthy Churches Thrive! team). This leads, by God’s grace, to “repentance” in the true sense of the word: a change of your mind to change direction.

The direction for this process is from maintenance to effective mission through social networks—the platform for 21st century ministry. This is not a program. It is more like a movement. It is more caught than taught. It is a spiritual pilgrimage for 18 months of intervention. It does not end when the process is completed. The church experiences a new, refreshed, chapter of history.

From the Mailbag

"I believe the Church Doctor Ministries is a viable organization in the Church of Christ. I also give thanks to God that there is a ministry that equips people "to become disciples" in a world that is in desperate need of Jesus Christ."
~ Pastor Steve Bauerle, Zion Lutheran / Waterville, Ohio
