Shared Ministry Locations
| September 2, 2009I was working with a Presbyterian church in the Midwest. It's an inner-city church that conducts some ministries with an Anglican church (that has left the Episcopal Church) about eight blocks away. Both churches are declining rapidly.
Church Accountability Confusion
| September 2, 2009"We need more accountability" This is a comment I am hearing more and more as I work with churches. In follow-up I ask, "How so?" Almost always the response is directed at holding the pastor more accountable.

Taking the plunge into social media
| August 19, 2009The world is flat and it is getting flatter and more connected. What Every Church Needs to Know - Part 1
| July 17, 2009Hold on to your caps and glasses because I’m going to open a can of worms with this one. In fact I’m going to ask you to cut me a little slack if what I’m about to say convicts or challenges because, I would never want to do that.
Future of Denominations
| July 15, 2009Not long ago I had a long luncheon with my friend, Walt Kallestad from Community of Joy in Phoenix, Arizona. We got on the subject of denominations. Do they have a future? I don’t mean this as negative, but we don’t think so. It seems like every 500 years, the church has a “rummage sale” to offload cultural baggage that no longer works. Maybe there are other ways to be connected with other churches.
Video Resource Recommendation
| July 13, 2009At my church we are in the middle of a teaching series called Trueish. We are comparing God’s Biblical Truth with the somewhat true, but completely wrong (trueish) ideals many people, including Christians, cling to.
Caring for the Pastor's Family
