Want to influence others?
Many people think leadership is all about getting others to do things for them. That's a low view of how God sees His leaders. In fact, the Bible says if you want to operate on a whole new level of influencing others, serve and don't expect anything in return.
Most people go through life making deals. "If you do this for me, I'll do this for you." You work, you get a paycheck. You help me, I'll help you. Here's my prescription: Give without the motivation of receiving. Love the unlovable. Look at how Jesus influenced others through His servanthood. You can only do that by letting go and letting God work through you.
"Jesus...called the twelve disciples to him and said to them, ‘Whoever wants to be first must place himself last of all and be the servant of all.'"
